Abstract
60 percent of world population, living in Asia and Africa continent is older than 55years. This is a present challenge in sustaining development. This leads to the health and environmental impacts of environmental pollution especially in low and middle-income countries. The interaction between an ageing population and the environment poses significant challenges and oppor­tunities for public policy. Older people are a diverse group.
