A Comparative Study of P.G Colleges Run by Muslim Minority and by State Government in Lucknow City

Abstract
Uttar Pradesh is the most populated state of our country. There are 53 Universities, 767 Colleges in Uttar Pradesh In spite of that literacy rate of Uttar Pradesh is just 67.68%. This paper is a comparative study of two types of P.G College. One of the P.G Colleges under study is Muslim Minority higher education institutions providing education to Muslim minorities, the other P.G College is providing education to general category in Lucknow. This study is mainly concerned with the role played by these P.G Colleges in the development of education in Lucknow. This research paper is an effort to get to know the reason that which one of these two types of P.G Colleges is successful in creating and providing better educational opportunities for students in Lucknow. In terms of respondents from these colleges, 10 teachers, 50 students and principal of each P.G Colleges were approached for collecting data through self-constructed questionnaire and observation schedule which was filled in by making on the spot observation by the researcher. The data was rendered readable and meaningful by computing percentage of each and every dimension.
