Abstract
The attractive dielectric properties of Ba(Zn1/3Ta2/3)O3 (BZT) enable it to be a prime dielectric material applicable in modern communication systems which include cellular phones and satellite communications. BZT was synthesized by Ball-milling in ethanol for (1-10) hrs x 6 and its impacts on the dielectric properties of BZT were studied. The density of the pellets sintered at 1475 oC was close to 70% of the theoretical density. The low frequency (20MHz) dielectric constant (ε) was different for pellets with different calcinations time and the dielectric loss (Tanδ) were less than zero.
