AbstractIntroduction: The record serves as a vehicle to health professionals who interact with a client to communicate with each other. This prevents fragmentation repetition and delay in client care. It facilitates to receive reimbursement from the federal government, and usually admissible in court as evidence information from health records. It is useful for communication, planning client care, Auditing health agencies, Research, Education, Reimbursement, Legal documentation, and health care analysis
Methods: A Non-Experimental descriptive research was adopted for this study. The study was conducted in selected hospital, Nellore district. 100 samples were selected by using Simple random sampling technique by means of learning method. Observational checklist was used to observe maintenance of case sheets among staff Nurses.
Results: The study results shows that with regard to level of maintenance of case sheets, 70(70.0%)staff nurses were maintained case sheets Adequately, 25(25.0%) staff nurses were maintained case sheets Moderately and 5(05.0%) staff nurses were maintained case sheets Inadequately.
Conclusion: The study concluded that majority of staff nurses were maintained case sheets adequately
