Abstract
The effect of microbial consortium consisting plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) like Azospirillum lipoferum, Azotobacter chroococcum, Bacillus megaterium, Pseudomonas fluorescens were tested separately and in combination of Solanum nigrum. The combinations of above mentioned PGPR strains significantly increased plant height, chlorophyll and protein content in Solanum nigrum, when compared to the uninocultated control. The microbial consortium (T11) increased in plant height, chlorophyll and protein content. Which recorded consortium (T11) 166.00 cm for plant height on atharvest, 5.96 mg g-1 for chlorophyll and 13.46 mg g-1 for protein content on 120 DAS.
