Abstract
Export Marketing means Exporting goods to other countries of the world. It involves lengthy procedure and formalities. Export marketing is more complicated to domestic marketing due to international restrictions, global competition, lengthy procedures and formalities and so on. Moreover, when a business crossed the borders of a nation, it becomes infinitely more complex. Along with this, export marketing offers ample opportunities for earning huge profits and valuable foreign exchange. Export marketing has wider economic significance as it offers various advantages to the national economy. It promotes economic / business / industrial development, to earn foreign exchange and ensures optimum utilization of available resources.
Around the world, logistics services form an important basis for success in business. In a global comparison, the significance of logistics depends largely on the overall economic power of a country. Business cannot be done without the services of logistics providers. The survey was conducted among the various export companies in Coimbatore. This piece of research depends entirely on the Primary Data collected for studying the above mentioned objectives at various export firms in Coimbatore. However, the Secondary data were also collected from the information provided by the company. The statistical tools are used.
The economic development of any country primarily depends on the establishment of industries, which require sufficient amount of capital. The governments and international development agencies have intensified efforts to promote import and export business as an engine of proper growth. There is a need to reduce the shipping freight cost charged by the logistic operators which was felt high by some exporters, while, ineffective handling trade inflows, high shipment cost, lack of cooperation and stiff competition in foreign market shipping freight cost charged by the logistic operators Some of the respondents felt transit time needed improvement in services by the shipping liner and the dispatchers release of shipping documents, credit terms and technological development. Few of the exporters felt definite improvement needed with respect to consignee preference on services, convenience in transport operations and goodwill of the firm to perform well in the export market and to achieve more success and elevate their export performance in the global scenario.
