Abstract
In Telangana, a region in southern India, folklore medicine has long been a significant aspect of healthcare, particularly in rural areas where access to modern medicine may be limited. This study explores the traditional use of various medicinal plants in the treatment of piles by the indigenous people of Telangana. Through ethnobotanical surveys and interviews with local healers, several plants have been identified that are commonly used for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and wound-healing properties. The paper deals with information use of medicinal plants for treatment of piles in traditional medicine in Telangana during folklore or ethno botanical survey conducted among different ethnic groups of the state.
