Abstract
Sexual harassment at work undercuts women- potential for social equality in two ways by using her employment position to coerce her sexuality, while using her sexual position to coerce her economical. Besides sexual harassment often has adverse effects on the victims performance, therefore, it can cause employers losses in productivity.
In this modern age even though woman are educated and equally participating with men, still social conventions, with the diverse tradition, blind belief customs with patriarchal norms controlling the life of women are directly or indirectly ‘In all the religious, Women’s are considered as weaker section of the society since ages the role of women was confined to household chores and limited to domestic, In the male dominated Indian society women suffer to Extreme level of exploitation and struggle to live life with dignity continues. The domestic problems and social economic factors forced woman in to enter into the service sector. women as professional are not only neglected but they are discriminated and harassed and treated with inhuman values without social security and economic support both violence inside counterparts, though family at work place. Women are not equally treated as their male though they are skilled at blending professional excellence and traditional love for home harmoniously. violation to the achievements of the objectives of equality. Development and peace, violence against women is sometimes a mechanism for subordination, subjugation or sometimes women’s unequal status favors their vulnerability for violence. In recent years social scientists and feminist found that gender disparity Manifests itself in the various forms. social stereotyping. Violence at home, work place and society. They also demonstrated the discrimination against girl children. Adolescent girls and women in society and explain the underlying causes of gender in equality in terms of social and economic structure which is based on informal and formal norms and practices.
