Abstract
The research study was carried to explore the Academic Procrastination and Self Esteem among Adolescents of Kashmir. Descriptive survey method was used in the current study and the respondents were selected through simple random sampling. Adolescents in this study were secondary school students selected from District Kulgam out of which 150 were male and 150 were female students. The tools used for data collection were Academic Procrastination Scale (Sindhu and Thulasidharan, 2018) and Self Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965). To analyze and interpret the data Percentage, Mean, S.D and Correlation were used as statistical techniques. The result findings revealed that 23%, 34% and 43% of students were having low, moderate and high academic procrastination. Whereas 40%, 35% and 25% of students were having low, moderate and high levels of Self Esteem. A significant and positive correlation was found between Academic Procrastination and Self Esteem among adolescents of Kashmir.
