Abstract
The study aims are to assess the level of knowledge regarding side effects of chemotherapy and to identify the relationship between the knowledge level and socio demographic variables of nursing students. The quantitative research approach and cross sectional descriptive design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted in Narayana college of Nursing. 100 nursing Students were selected by using Non Probability Convenience Sampling Technique. Structured Questionnaire method was used for collecting the information from samples. Data analysis done by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results revealed that 71 (71%) nursing students have moderately adequate knowledge, 21(21%) nursing students having inadequate knowledge and only 8(8%) nursing students have adequate knowledge regarding side effects of chemotherapy. This study concluded that nursing students requires continue education regarding the chemotherapy and side effects for providing effective and prompt nursing care.
