Abstract
At the time of Indian independence, the banking system lacked institutional support for rural credit, which is where Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) have made a significant impact. They have been instrumental in providing financial services to the deprived and vulnerable populations in rural areas, thus maintaining a financial connection among the rural masses. RRBs blend the principles of cooperative and commercial banks to effectively serve rural communities. This study aims to explore how RRBs have promoted financial inclusion and supported the development of women entrepreneurs in rural areas.
