AbstractAim: To assess the knowledge regarding management of tuberculosis among tuberculosis patient at Selected PHC, Villupuram.
Objectives
1) To assess the level of knowledge regarding management of tuberculosis among tuberculosis patients.
2) To associate the level of knowledge among tuberculosis patient with their selected demographic variables.
Methods: A descriptive design was used for the study. 30 samples selected by using non-probability convenient sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was structured questionnaire for knowledge regarding management of tuberculosis. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (chi- square) were used to test the hypothesis.
Results: The level of knowledge regarding management of tuberculosis among tuberculosis patients were 33.3% (10) of them had inadequate knowledge, 56.7% (17) of them had moderate knowledge and 10% (3) of them had adequate knowledge.
