Abstract
Plants that are used to treat a wide range of illnesses are valuable all around the world. Some of the diversity of plants, known as medicinal plants, have the enormous potential to treat a wide range of ailments. The primary goal of this study is to concentrate on plant diversity for future applications and conservation. At Govt. Model Science College, Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), the Botany department's current study on medicinal plants is helpful. A plant diversity survey was conducted from August 5, 2022, to April 8, 2023. Following a field study, the identified medicinal plants were cataloged using the following criteria: botanical name, family, habit, uses, and propagation, with the aid of prior research. A total of 55 species of medicinal plants from 26 families were identified, indicating the diverse floristic makeup of the college campus. The family Fabaceae was found to have the highest species diversity. Eighty percent of the therapeutic plants that have been documented were propagated by seeds. In the research region, herbaceous medicinal plants were most prevalent.
