AbstractThe industry-academia gap refers to the disparity between the expectations and requirements of the industrial sector and the academic institutions that supply the workforce. This qualitative study explores the perceptions and viewpoints of both industry professionals and academic representatives regarding this gap. Through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, the research identifies key areas of misalignment, including skills mismatch, outdated curricula, and differing priorities. The findings highlight the need for enhanced collaboration, curriculum reform, and practical training initiatives to bridge the gap and ensure that graduates are better prepared to meet industry demands. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to develop strategies that foster closer cooperation between academia and industry, ultimately contributing to a more competent and adaptable workforce.
