This study aimed to\r\nestimate the length-weight relationship and characterize the condition factor\r\nof Catla catla the most abundant and economically important species in\r\ntons barrage. The length weight relationship was calculated based on samples\r\ncollected during study period reveled a strong liner relationship between total\r\nlength and weight. The correlation coefficient was found to be highly\r\nsignificant between length and weight of this fish. The growth performance of Catla\r\ncatla was very good in tons barrage. Condition factor showed a steady rise\r\nfrom the summer seasons and attained the peak in the rainy season. The results\r\nshow that Catla catla fish is suitable for tons barrage fisheries.
