AbstractContext: Breast Self Examination is an effective tool to make the women aware regarding breast cancer and direct them for timely consultation with a doctor. Research has shown that the women who were diagnosed with breast cancer had consulted the doctor consequent to a felt mass in their breast followed by Breast Self Examination . Breast Self Examination is a screening method that should be taught at early ages to make the women aware about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Afterwards, post test of subjects was taken.
Results: The findings of the present study revealed that the mean pre test knowledge score was 13.33 and mean post test knowledge score was 23.92. There was statistically highly significant difference between mean pre and post test knowledge score at p<0.001 level of significance. The mean pre test skills score regarding breast self examination was 23.5 and mean post test skills score was 38.63.There was statistically highly significant difference between mean pre and post test skills score at p<0.001 level of significance.
