Abstract
This review study provides an in-depth examination of the relationship between electoral systems and democratic representation. By synthesizing existing research and conducting a comprehensive literature review, we explore the impact of various electoral systems - such as proportional representation (PR), majoritarian, and mixed systems - on key aspects of democratic governance. These aspects include political inclusivity, representation of minority groups, voter satisfaction, policy congruence with public preferences, and the overall quality of representation. This study emphasizes how electoral systems shape political landscapes and examines the advantages and challenges of different electoral frameworks.
