AbstractPolycystic Ovarian Disorder (PCOD) is a prevalent non-communicable disease among women, second only to hypertension and diabetes. PCOD can lead to several complications, including infertility, hypertension, insulin resistance, and miscarriages. A 2020 survey across India showed that 16% of women aged 20-29 suffer from PCOD, and 11.58% of women aged 30-44 are affected. The major contributors are poor lifestyle choices, unhealthy eating patterns, and irregular exercise. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of PCOD among females aged 15-30 in selected colleges of Ludhiana, Punjab, and to identify perceived risk factors and associated lifestyle issues. Using a descriptive exploratory research design with a sample of 500 participants, the findings showed a 4.8% diagnosed prevalence of PCOD, with major contributing factors such as obesity, sedentary lifestyle, and unhealthy diet. The results highlight the need for dietary and lifestyle modifications to manage and control PCOD.
