AbstractThe purpose of this study is to find out the impact of education on the empowerment of women employed as teachers in govt. primary schools. A sample of 40 women primary teachers working in Govt. primary schools of Kaptipada Block were randomly selected for the study using a survey design. The result of the study indicated that the women teachers having higher educational qualifications and more teaching experiences are more empowered than others. So, it is suggested that the reason of unemployment of educated women should be considered and necessary steps should be taken to raise the level of women employment as well as women empowerment.
