AbstractCollaboration and community engagement are crucial components of effective teacher training Programme. They involve creating partnerships between teacher training institutions, organizations, schools, local bodies and wider communities to enhance the learning experiences for both teacher educators and prospective teachers in the educational process. Community engagement in teacher training institutions involve activities where prospective teachers actively participate with the local communities, fostering collaboration and understanding, a sense of shared responsibility and enhance activities like community services, cultural immersion, skill development, democratic living, field visit and survey projects, workshops, community-based learning projects, school internship, mentoring, tutoring activities and participation of prospective teachers in collaborative initiatives that connect the classroom to the real world. This study is a research review of the teacher education Programme in the college of education that gives insight into the objectives of engaged, explored, explained, evaluated, and extended components of the various collaboration and community engagement participation activities of prospective teachers and teacher educators with an annual plan of action implemented in Andhra University Affiliated College of Education Institution, Andhra Pradesh. These experiences enhance practical skills, deepen cultural awareness, address community needs and promote social responsibility among future teachers. A successful teacher education program benefits greatly from strong collaboration and community engagement that can create a more supportive and enriching learning environment.
