Mental health is key to overall well-being, making awareness in schools essential. Schools can identify and address concerns since students spend much time there. Mental health initiatives educate students, staff, and parents about their impact and available support, while fostering a supportive culture that reduces stigma. Schools provide academic learning as well as opportunities for emotional, social, and personal growth. Adding mental health education to curricula supports students' emotional well-being.
Mental health, recognised in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as essential for progress, is linked to global competitiveness and sustainability. Integrating mental health into development initiatives, increasing funding, expanding services, and addressing social and environmental influences can help prioritise both mental and physical well-being worldwide. Mental health among school students helps them face the stress of life and helps them reach their goals.
