Abstract
The goal of the current study was to look into and determine how secure women's livelihoods are in Jaipur. The Jaipur district was specifically chosen due to its prominence and important role in cottage and small-scale industries. The ability to consistently access appropriate amounts of resources and income to meet basic needs is the definition of a household's ability to support itself (including adequate access to food, portable water, health facilities, educational opportunities, housing, time for community participation and social integration). The study included both primary and secondary data. 600 stratified, purposefully chosen women were the source of the initial data collection for the study's objective between August 2022 and December 2022. Based on the state of women's households in the study area, six separate livelihood security indicators were created. The indicator's index score ran from 0 to 1. A higher value of the indicator suggests that households are better off and have more financial security. Compared to rural women labourers, women entrepreneurs are in a far more precarious condition in terms of their financial and health security. Research demonstrated that roughly 23% of female entrepreneurs and roughly 62% of rural female workers in the study area had a lack of a stable source of income.
