Abstract
Kanyashree Prakalpa (KP) is West Bengal Government approved Conditional Cash Transfer scheme to check child marriage and school drop out of girls for improving girls education. The Southern part of West Bengal state is highly populated with economically disadvantaged communities. The importance of this KP has been considered from the view points of gross enrollment ratio (GER) and gender parity index (GPI) in secondary level, focused a significant improvement in above ratio and index from national and KP pre-implementation state scenario. For such improvement, attitude upgradation was noted for secondary and higher education. The pre-tested and pre-structured questionnaire filling technique was adopted and distributed by random simple technique among the 695 adolescence girls belongings to the age group of 13-16 years. Chi-square and correlation statistical test were used to study the different variables. The study focused a significant positive correlation among GER, GPI and attitude improvement among KP beneficiaries.
