A comparative study on financial performance of MRF Ltd. and Apollo tyres

Abstract
This present study compares the financial performance of MRF Ltd. and Apollo Tyres of five years, from 2020 to 2024, undertaken key financial ratios such as, liquidity, profitability, leverage, efficiency and solvency. This study reveals that MRF Ltd. outperforms Apollo Tyres utmost every parameter, maintained better liquidity management and profitability standards, which indicate sound financial strength and operational efficiency. Notably, MRF Ltd adopts a conservative strategy of debt management, maintains lower debt-to-equity ratios. Conversely, while both the companies demonstrate resilience and stability. Apollo Tyres could improve liquidity and profitability through optimized asset management and cost-effective measures. The study reveals the MRF Ltd.’s exceptional performance in the Indian tyre industry, emphasizing the need for both companies to capitalize on the strengths and identify areas for betterment to sustain the growth and competitiveness.
