Abstract
The rise of social media has profoundly shaped the lives and behaviours of individuals, particularly the youth population. This research paper investigates the multifaceted effects of social media on Indian youth, focusing on aspects such as mental health, self-esteem, socialization, and academic performance. With the exponential growth of platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok in India, it has become crucial to understand their implications on young people's lives. This study employs surveys, interviews, and secondary data analysis to present a holistic view of the topic, highlighting both positive and negative outcomes.
