Abstract
Our study generally targeted the influence of Greek arts on architectural drawing in Islamic architecture by conducting a comprehensive analytical study of a number of prominent Islamic architectural models using modern engineering concepts, including the use of the AutoCAD program. The research aims to discover the influence of Greek geometric and decorative elements on Islamic architectural designs and how these influences are applied within multiple Islamic and religious contexts. The research also seeks to use modern engineering tools, such as digital software, to analyze architectural models and determine how Greek elements integrate with Islamic architectural styles. Our study was based on a group of Islamic architectural monuments such as mosques, palaces, and Schools. The research analyzes how geometric ideas were transmitted from Greek civilization to other civilizations, including Islamic architecture, with a focus on mathematical proportions, geometric balance, and triangular and repetitive decorations. The research also explains the impact of these arts on the development of Islamic architecture at different stages of history, starting from the early ages to the modern era. The results of the research showed the existence of geometric and decorative matches between Greek and Islamic architecture, especially in the use of golden proportions, the adoption of Corinthian columns, and geometric decorations.
