Abstract
This article reviews Christian-Muslim harmonious relations in Southwest Nigeria as a panacea to religious conflicts in Nigeria. The study examines religious crises in Nigeria and their implications for Nigerians. This is necessitated as a result of the upsurge in religious crises in Nigeria. This article, therefore, identified factors that have assisted Southwest Nigeria in being an epicentre of religious harmony in the country; the impacts of religious harmony in the region were identified. Equally, some incidents of religious crises and how they were resolved in the area were determined to serve as a blueprint for religious crisis resolution. Using participant observation and information from Newspapers, Magazines, and Archives, the article revealed some factors that have assisted the region in maintaining religious peace, which include cultural festivals, interfaith marriages, peace-making initiatives, and educational institutions, among others. Therefore, the article recommends more investigation into viable ways to promote peaceful co-existence among the three main religions in practice in the country.
