Abstract
Material handling and storage packaging are foundational components of modern manufacturing logistics, directly influencing production efficiency, operational cost, and product safety. This paper conducts a conceptual and literature-based review of material handling and packaging practices, with an emphasis on emerging technologies, sustainability, ergonomics design, and integration into lean manufacturing systems. It analyses trends and findings from notable studies conducted between 2003 and 2025 to propose a framework for improving industrial through strategic planning and technological adaptation.
