AbstractEmployee training is usually viewed as required rather than optional, which makes participants reluctant. This is a serious problem for both organisations and trainers. Traditional training approaches frequently fall short of motivating employees or engaging learners in increasingly complex, repetitive, or high-pressure work contexts. To overcome this difficulty, gamification—the use of game elements outside of games—emerges as a revolutionary tactic.
The use of gamification in corporate training settings is examined in this study, along with how it might make training an economical, interesting, and strategically beneficial endeavour. Opportunities for accomplishment, competition, teamwork, and acknowledgement are all provided by gamified training, and these factors all improve learner motivation and retention. The theoretical underpinnings, comparative analysis, empirical data, and best practices for gamified training implementation that produces quantifiable results and possible competitive advantage are presented in this overview of the literature.
