Abstract
The paper focuses on the job satisfaction of women library professionals working in the central universities of North- East India. Different factors related to job satisfaction like demographic profile, job recognition, salary benefits and payments, opportunities for promotional benefit, motivational factors and challenges faced by the women professionals etc. were taken into account for the study. Thereby, a structured questionnaire was designed and distributed among the women professionals of 9 Central Universities which was undertaken for the study and accordingly 79% respondents were received which was presented and analyzed in tabulated forms. The overall findings revealed that the women professionals are found to be satisfied with their profession and the factors related to it.
