Abstract
The SDGs are a global framework aimed at achieving a more sustainable and equitable future by 2030. In Haryana, public expenditure plays a pivotal role in driving progress toward these goals, particularly in sectors such as education, health, infrastructure and environmental protection. This paper explores how strategic investments by the Haryana government are contributing to the achievement of various SDGs. By analyzing budget allocations, key initiatives and their impacts, the paper highlights the progress made and the challenges faced in aligning public expenditure with SDG objectives. Despite notable advancements, issues such as regional disparities, resource allocation inefficiencies and capacity constraints persist. The paper concludes by offering recommendations to optimize public expenditure, enhance governance and improve the overall effectiveness of SDG-related initiatives in Haryana. Through targeted and efficient use of public resources, Haryana can accelerate its progress toward achieving the SDGs and set a model for other states in India.
