Abstract
Women being the most beautiful creation of the hold important position in the entire world however, in context of India women have faced lot of sufferings. The researcher inferred examining the secondary data in this study has interfered the status of an Indian women has been improved gradually with the passage of time. However, despites that it is unsatisfactory. Accordingly, the researcher recommended that more efforts should be made to empower the women. Besides, due attention should be given towards the development and enhancement of the status of the women.
