Abstract
Education is a series of continuous processes that direct children with certain methods so that children gain knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and values, all of which will support child development. Vocational high school alumni are expected to master knowledge, expertise and skills, creativity and competitiveness, but are also expected to have knowledge of religion, morals and noble character. The objectives to be achieved from this research are to obtain the results of the analysis and description of: 1. Implementation of online learning on civic education subjects in class XI of Vocational High School 2 Tondano. 2. Factors that support and hinder online learning in the subjects of civic education at the State Vocational High School 2 Tondano. 3. Efforts made by schools, teachers, and students to overcome the problem of implementing online learning in civic education subjects for class XI Vocational High School 2 Tondano. 4. Achievement of civic education learning before the pandemic and learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The approach used is qualitative research. Qualitative research is research that is rooted in a scientific background as a whole, relies on humans as data collection instruments, relies on data inductively, leads to theory discovery, is descriptive, is more concerned with process than results, limits studies with focus, has criteria for data validity, design is temporary and the conclusions of the study are agreed upon and the subject under study. This qualitative research emphasizes deep thinking and focuses on social phenomena or the paradigm of social phenomena. This research is more sensitive and can adapt to qualitative methods (Neong Muhajir. So this researcher will observe and analyze the implementation of online learning in Civics class XI subjects at SMK Negeri 2 Tondano. The results showed that the implementation of the implementation of online learning during the pandemic at SMK Negeri 2 Tondano was going well, this was reflected in the preparation and implementation as well as the evaluation of learning activities carried out by the school in accordance with the circular issued by the ministry of education or the local government decree for implementation. learning during the emergency spread of COVID-19.
