Abstract
Today it's essential to grasp the interrelationship between mortals, society and also the biophysical surroundings. More and more people are aware that in the name of development, there's rampant destruction of our natural environment; as a result, use are faced with many problems- the planet is getting warmer, the ocean level is rising, wild life is depleting, land is eroded, beaches are vanishing etc. and everyone these have adverse effects on the standard of human life. The quality of sanitation has gone down, food; fuel and fodder are getting scarce resulting in overall rise in rate and lots of other problems consequently adding to the social pollution. Therefore sustainable development is incredibly essential and during this regard it's observed that altogether countries particularly in the underdeveloped and developing nations, women in spite of struggling lots, still attempt to maintain closer ties with the natural resources base as biomass collectors and gatherers and then have in-depth knowledge and knowhow of the properties and uses of biomass species. Given their familiarly with the employment and properties of assorted species, women should be considered as better conservationists than men as they readily perceive the negative consequences of tire degradation and destruction of the environment. Therefore, it's necessary that women play a important role in the conservation and protection of the environment through properly designed education programmes. Education definitely improves the conditions of women, develops their skills in the management or resources and promotes sustainable development, and also reduces the disparity between men and women.
