Vivekananda’s views on religion: A comprehensive exploration

Author(s)
Dr. Anjali Sharma
Abstract
The article aims to provide a concise analysis on Vivekananda’s views on religion, his ideas on religious harmony, tolerance, and pursuit of spiritual realization. He says, ‘of all and the forces that have worked and are still working to mould the destiny of the human race, none certainly is more potent than that, the manifestation of which we call religion.’ He asserts that religion is a necessity of life. He says food, clothing, shelters are not the only needs of life. This is proved from the fact that they alone do not satisfy us, even in the midst of luxury man craves for something higher- something better. This craving is his religious craving.
